Apparently the empty yellow house on St. Charles at the intersection of Culver had their air conditioning unit (large compressor) stolen over the weekend. Who knows if they took it for their own use, the copper inside, or to simply pawn it off.
The owners have since cleared the large amount of shrubs and small trees that blocked view of their back yard from the street.
The house had a "For Rent" sign out front until the theft. Seems that it has been taken off the market - probably until they can get the air conditioning replaced.

Updates
3231 Culver -- whoever bought this is starting to repair. Have torn the roof off. This will require an almost entire redo since the roof has been leaking for about 30 years -- all the ceilings were gone, floors, etc. I think they would have been better off just starting over.
3219 Culver -- this was foreclosed by the bank which kept dropping the price and it was finally down to $29,900. It is a non-conforming duplex with an illegal unit in the rear added by the last owner. City has advised him he cannot rent that unit so he appears so far to be conforming with that. Is doing a credible job of fixing it up.
