Yet Again, Yet Again

After being broken into last week,  our neighbor was yet again burglarized.  The culprit -- sporting the blue blankey he stole last week -- was seen jumping back over her fence and headed to his home.  Meanwhile Mommy's boyfriend was parked on Fairview by the park -- probably on the lookout.  They didn't get in, but cut the burglar bars.

The resident indicated that there are similar breakins on Fairview and Kinmore, but if there are, they are not being reported.  I thought there was something else going on here, but am inclined to believe it is the suspected culprit.  He has been seen 3 times at this property, Mommy tried to get the stolen computer unlocked from another burglary and family members have been seen casing other properties.  There are supposedly fingerprints, but the police don't seem to be placing much priority on this.

She has had enough and is moving.

They are just being brazen because they can get away with it -- The police have been pretty much useless. I don't know what it will take to get their attention.

Disturbing Incident

As I got off the bus last evening, there were 3 cars of Hispanic kids on the Fairview side of the park.  2 of the girls started fighting and there was a combination of egging them on and trying to stop it.  I pulled out my phone and called 911, but before I finished the call, cooler heads had prevailed and they 3 cars drove away cursing at each other.

More disturbing was the young black male who had been sitting under the shelter who came over to me as I was calling and asked what I was doing.  When I replied I was calling the police, he cursed me out and said we don't do that.  To which I replied, "Oh yes we do" which only got me more cursing.  I told him, I didn't take orders from him.

Sad on a whole lot of levels.

Culver Stabbing

Lots of activity this evening on Culver. After hearing plenty of sirens and fast moving emergency vehicles down our street, I checked the current police activity and current emergency activity (these links are on our website) and it indicated a stabbing at 3246 Culver. Not sure what exactly has occured just yet, but there have been four police cars, two fire engines, and one paramedic dispatched thus far.

Park

Now I have seen everything.  Over the weekend, someone stole the pear tree that I planted in the park last year -- All that is left is the pile of mulch.

I am continually amazed at the lack of respect for public and other's property exhibited by many in our neighborhood.

Break In

Yet again, another breakin in the 3200 block of Culver.  Though this seems a bit fishy -- this is the 4th time in 6 months and the landlord put bars on the house.

Not sure if this isn't some sort of domestic matter.
