VIEW OWENWOOD’S COMMUNITY CALENDAR

  • “Keep Doing What You Do” - Our most pressing need is operating support. Providing operating support will help us keep the lights on and the programs running at Owenwood.

    Your unrestricted gift can also help us continue low cost space sharing for our nonprofit partners-in-residence, helping meet broader community needs and avoid duplicating existing services.

  • Owenwood distributes over 15,000 pounds of diapers each month, supporting approximately 200 families. Baby and adult diapers are a critical need in our community, and Owenwood is committed to meeting that need.

    A monthly contribution of $20.00 can provide diapers for two families, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

  • Owenwood distributes over 18,000 pounds of food each month, serving approximately 350 families. Living in a food desert, our community relies on this essential program to support our neighbors and address their nutritional needs.

    A monthly contribution of $20.00 can help provide emergency food boxes for families in the community and provide food through Owenwood's food pantry making a meaningful difference in their lives.

  • Owenwood hosts two year-round after-school programs, providing FREE programming to approximately 80 youth in our community. We believe in empowering the next generation, as these young people will be the future professionals driving our community's success.

    A monthly contribution of $30 helps ensure Owenwood can continue its vital youth outreach efforts through music literacy with Dallas Symphony Orchestra and social-emotional learning through Project Transformation.

  • At Owenwood, we focus on addressing the social determinants of health in our community, believing that when parents and caregivers are supported, our youth thrive.

    In Spring 2024, we launched a computer lab initiative offering financial literacy classes, career readiness courses, and various health education programs.

    Your monthly contribution of $20 enables us to continue empowering the adults in our community and, in turn, nurturing the well-being of our youth.

  • Owenwood's senior community is vibrant and thriving! With programs like senior yoga, community gardening, and art classes, we engage nearly 100 seniors every week.

    Your monthly support of $20 helps our senior community maintain mobility and social connections, ensuring they continue to flourish.

  • Owenwood hosts four major community outreach events each year, serving approximately 350 families per event.

    Your contributions help us empower our community by providing essential resources like school supplies, healthcare initiatives, and more.
